Chefs ahoy! Fish2fork has been presenting certificates of achievement to restaurants in Plymouth as part of the city’s Seafood Festival.
Fish2fork has been rating restaurants in Plymouth and as a taster for the event was down in the city to meet and congratulate some of the most sustainable chefs and restaurateurs.
“You have done extremely well,” Tim Glover, managing director of Fish2fork told them as he handed over their certificates.
Eight restaurants were awarded certificates for their efforts in making sure their fish and shellfish come from sustainable sources. They were the Boathouse Cafe, Harbourside Fish and Chips, Seco Lounge, the Mussel Inn, Perillas, Tanners and Barbican Kitchen.
Two pictures here show the Fish2fork pairing of Mr Glover and project leader Sylvette Peplowski on one of the Boathouse Café’s own boats, the Southern Star, with chefs, restaurateurs and Paul Cox, from the National Aquarium and Martin Attrill, of the Plymouth Marine Institute - Fish2fork was asked to rate Plymouth restaurants by the two organisations. In the second image, with the festival banner, they are joined by the festival organising committee.
The Seafood Festival, part of the Plymouth Marine Festival, is held on September 15 and 16.
