The end of an epic ride

On Tuesday 26 September, after ten days, 1400 km, three countries, three minor accidents, thousands of calories and immeasurable amounts of camaraderie, our incredible London to Monaco cyclists rolled into the Palace of Monaco to cheers, glittery blue pompoms and champagne.

Prince Albert of Monaco and Executive Director Charles Clover thanked the cyclists for their achievements and reminded everyone of the marine conservation projects this epic challenge is supporting.

Everyone at BLUE would like to say a massive thank you to all the amazing cyclists who took part in the ride which has already raised over £200,000! Thank you also to our wonderful photographer David Churchill who devoted ten days of his time to follow the ride and even accompanied a rider to hospital following a nasty scrape on the road (she still got back on the next day and finished the ride).

We’re still hoping to top last year’s donation of £280,000.  To donate to the 2017 event’s fundraising page please visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/londontomonaco2017.
