Tackling the issues of sustainable fisheries, fish farms, accreditation, ocean plastic and blue carbon, Charles Clover, Executive Director of Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) joined co-hosts Nick Hughes and David Burrows for their Footprint 40 podcast. The series gets under the skin of the sustainability issues affecting the food and drink sector.
“Climate change has been seen as a terrestrial problem for 40 years. We have to rethink how we catch fish, in a world where we are trying to soak up carbon, because the seabed does it pretty well and we are preventing it in so many places,” said Clover.
