Fishers were promised full control of UK waters and increased quotas, but the Brexit transition deal maintained EU fishing access until 2021, sparking feelings of betrayal. Despite political promises, fishing was not a priority in Brexit talks. To address confusion, Blue Marine hosted a seminar—partnering with industry groups and the Fishmongers’ Company—offering an independent, realistic view of Brexit’s impact on UK fisheries.
