Blue Marine critiques Norway’s proposed catch quotas as incompatible with its sustainability commitments, reminding the government of its responsibility to protect marine ecosystems and urging a shift toward science-based fisheries management and stronger ocean conservation. Charles Clover, co-founder of Blue Marine Foundation said “It’s absolutely outrageous to allow a quota that is equivalent to the entire adult spawning population, which is what they have done with Celtic Sea cod.”
