Blue Marine Foundation is proud to announce that our ocean education resources have achieved the Green Tick of Quality Assured approval, awarded by the Association for Science Education (ASE) – the UK’s leading professional body for science educators. This recognition marks a major milestone in our mission to bring high-quality ocean literacy into classrooms nationwide.
The ASE Green Tick is a trusted mark of excellence, given only to resources that meet rigorous standards for scientific accuracy, curriculum relevance, and educational impact. Following a detailed evaluation, ASE confirmed that Blue Marine’s resource are not only scientifically robust but also engaging and accessible for teachers and students alike. The report concludes that Blue Marine’s high quality resources combine strong curriculum alignment with engaging, immersive content that helps pupils build knowledge, develop scientific language and apply learning in meaningful ways, while interactive elements and opportunities for reflection support pupil engagement, resilience and metacognitive development.
