The Blue Marine Foundation criticized the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission’s failure to reduce overfishing of yellowfin tuna. Jess Rattle, BLUE’s Head of Investigations, said, “Far from improving transparency and vessel tracking, the Indian Ocean is becoming increasingly opaque.” BLUE calls for stronger conservation and better stock management.
