The Sustainable Law Podcast recently spoke to Dr Tom Appleby, Blue Marine Foundation’s Chief of Legal Affairs, and Olly Scholey, Field Producer on OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH, to gain insight into the making of the film and examine how the law can – and should – be used to better protect our seas. Questions for this podcast were based on the audience participation at the Legal Sustainability Alliance’s screening of OCEAN and panel discussion, run in partnership with Blue Marine. This episode explores topics such as how government policies permit or subsidise bottom trawling in marine protected areas and how lawyers can help to protect ocean health.
