Blue Marine Foundation played a central role in highlighting what the Jersey Evening Post described as a “once‑in‑a‑generation opportunity” to protect Jersey’s seas. In 2023, the foundation commissioned a poll showing overwhelming public support for protecting ~30% of territorial waters. Working with island stakeholders since 2018, Blue Marine helped shape Jersey’s Marine Spatial Plan, which proposed expanding MPAs from just 6.5% to over 27% of local waters.
